Christmas Military Style

It's been a while since my last post. Lauren this one's for you...

If you are just joining my blog then let me catch you up. My husband is a JAG in the United States Air Force. I am so proud of him. He's stationed overseas in South Korea for a year. We have been steadily counting down the days until this assignment is over so we can get on with our life. You see we were only married four days before he was deployed. It's considered a deployment since families are not allowed to live on the base with the military. Needless to say Dave committed to this assignment before he committed to me. I learned my place, and I am waiting my turn. Our next assignment is in Hawaii. It's a tough life...I'll pause for a few brief tears as I know you all must feel so sorry for me having to live in Hawaii two years.

Dave will have the opportunity to come visit three weeks after Christmas. This means we had to spend Christmas apart but it was okay because I knew soon after we would get to spend three weeks together. Here's how we did spend our Christmas...

Dave spend his with co-workers. The first picture is him and a buddy playing a "scavenger hunt/musical chairs" game. Dave won the game by the way. He won a 32" flat screen tv and gave it to the least ranking person at the party. When I asked him why he said, "Angela this kid gets paid maybe a fourth of what I do and I don't need a tv." I was thinking...,"Well there you go. Okay then, wait...I get paid like a fourth of what you do too. Can I have the tv?" It looks like he had a great time.

I, on the other hand, had a normal Christmas with my family. Here's a few pictures of my family and me all crammed in my parent's house. We are growing as a family and their house seems to get smaller and smaller every year.

When Dave get's here we will spend some time in Atlanta, Delaware, and Philadelphia. I'll blog about that trip soon!
